Rheum receives, collects and stores any information you enter on our website or provide to us in any other way.  We process personal data such as names, email addresses, home/business addresses and phone numbers in order to sell our products and complete orders for our products through the Rheum website.  We also collect login information if you are a member of the Rheum website, as well as your order history.

 

We value your privacy and therefore this document outlines further information about the way in which we handle personal data and your rights in relation to your personal data.

This website is created and maintained on the Wix platform at wix.com. Wix uses cookies for the functionality and security of our site. Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you for one of the following reasons:

  • you sign up as a member on our website;

  • you wish to receive our weekly “greens list” email about the produce and products we have available for purchase each week;

  • you contact us through the contact form on our website; and/or,

  • you purchase an item from our website or make an order with us directly via email or telephone.

 

We do not provide for online payment on the Rheum website. Payments occur via Swish, bank transfer or methods provided for via invoice. We therefore do not collect any customer payment details online.

 

We use the information that you have given us in order to:

  • complete your purchase or order with us;

  • contact you about the delivery of your purchase;

  • complete delivery of your purchase;

  • provide customer services and support; and/or

  • contact our members and customers with notices about our produce and products, including the weekly “greens list” email for members of the Rheum website.

 

We may share your information with registered members of Rheum in order to complete your purchase or order with us or to contact you about our products and the delivery of our products.  We will not share you information with any third parties without your consent.

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the lawful basis we rely on for processing this information is:

(a) Your consent. You consent to us collecting your information when you provide your personal details to us in order to sign up as a member on our website, or when you purchase a product from Rheum. Our privacy and cookie policy is provided for your active consent when you order our products online.

How we store your personal information

We use the website building services provided by Wix.com. Your data is therefore stored in Wix.com’s data storage, databases and general Wix.com applications. Your information is securely stored behind a firewall on the Wix platform.

The duration of time that we store your personal information

We keep information you have provided, including name, email address, home/business address and telephone number for the period of time that you are a customer of Rheum, as either a member of our website or a customer who has purchased our products.

You are considered to be a customer of Rheum if you:

  • purchase a product from us;

  • are in contact with us about our products and/or the purchase of products from us;

  • are a member of Rheum’s website; and/or,

  • receive Rheum’s weekly “greens lists” emails.

We review the data we hold on an annual basis, and erase it when we no longer need it. If you are no longer a customer of Rheum, the longest period of time we will hold onto your data is two years from the date that you last purchased a product from us. We will then remove your personal information by deleting it from the Wix platform at Wix.com.

Your data protection rights

Under European Union data protection law, you have rights including:

  • Your right of access - You have the right to ask us for copies of your personal information.

  • Your right to erasure - You have the right to ask us to erase your personal information in certain circumstances.

  • Your right to restriction of processing - You have the right to ask us to restrict the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.

  • Your right to object to processing - You have the right to object to the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.

You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you.
